You need a partner you can trust.
We say what we find—including when the market isn't ready, the partner isn't right, or the timing is wrong—a client who hears that early is a client who still has capital to deploy somewhere better.

In Māori culture, the hongi is a traditional greeting: two people press foreheads and noses together to share the hā—the breath of life. It’s not just a handshake; it marks the moment a visitor stops being a guest and becomes part of the community.
That is the role Hongi Consulting plays for companies entering a new market. They arrive with a product and a plan, but no standing—and standing cannot be bought. It must be earned through genuine relationships and the backing of someone who already belongs. That is the bridge Hongi Consulting builds.
Two directions, one standard. We represent Latin American companies in the United States, and American and European companies in Latin America. Neither side is just a client, and neither is just a market—both are partners with whom we build long-term relationships.
Our job is to shorten the distance between arriving and belonging.
Full Market Entry. From strategy to the first signed agreement—entity considerations, channel structure, partner identification, and the commercial groundwork a company needs before committing capital to a new market. Case Studies / Proof Points: 3gmplus.com | aenima.com | helpargentina.com
International business development: We build a Pipeline, prospect qualification, and deal facilitation—executed, not merely advised. You meet counterparts who are real, avoiding a calendar of courtesy meetings. Case Studies / Proof Points: bamacf.com | aenima.com
Partner and Channel Identification: Distributors, brokers, suppliers, investors, and strategic partners sourced through relationships built over 15 years across the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Case Studies / Proof Points: 3gmplus.com | greendrinksboulder.com |
Institutional Development: Universities, chambers, trade agencies, and government programs. Cross-border business rarely closes on commercial relationships alone—institutional partners open markets that commercial channels cannot. Agreement Structuring: Commercial agreements, facilitation arrangements, referral frameworks, and multi-party deal structures that hold under both legal systems—backed by legal training on both sides. Case Studies / Proof Points: faalba.com

Vanesa Caruso founded Hongi Consulting in 2018 to do what most cross-border advisors don't: work inside both markets rather than advise from a distance.
An Argentine attorney with 15 years in international business development, Vanesa holds credentials from Cambridge Judge Business School and Harvard University. Based in Miami for 14 years and Colorado for 3 years, she has designed market-entry strategies and closed commercial agreements across the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean for clients ranging from European manufacturers to Latin American startups.
Previously, Vanesa directed the Global Entrepreneur Program at World Trade Center Denver—growing membership from 32 to 87 participants in under a year with 91% retention—and coordinated the Sustainable Energy, Agri, and SME committees at Fundación Export.AR (the commercial arm of Argentina's Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
She also served on the International and Asia Committees at the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, where she presented 27 companies, 16 of which won International Awards within two years. Selected as a mentor by the U.S. Department of State’s Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI), she advised entrepreneurs from Saint Lucia and Ecuador on market access and go-to-market execution.

We are not a firm with a bench. For each engagement, we assemble the exact specialists the market requires—legal counsel, sector advisors, local operators—and coordinate them under a single point of accountability.
You deal with one person, not a rotating account team.

We stay involved as long as the relationship needs us, under terms agreed from the start.
We map the market: who the real buyers are, which channel structure fits, what entry actually costs, and whether the timing holds. If the answer is that the market isn't ready, you'll hear it.
We operate as your local extension in the target market. We identify prospects, initiate contact, and qualify leads so that every meeting on your calendar is with a counterpart that matters. You arrive at a schedule engineered for results—not assembled out of courtesy.
We structure what gets signed—commercial terms that hold under both legal systems—and stay through execution. Once the relationship is stable, we hand it over to you. Our goal is to make you grow.
